Before she rose to fame as a musician, Selena Quintanilla Perez was born on April 16, 1971, in Lake Jackson, Texas. A distinct Mexican-American musical genre known as Tejano emerged due to the state’s proximity to Mexico, which Selena adored from an early age.

What Happened to Yolanda Saldívar?
Not long after Selena’s murder on October 15, 1995, Yolanda was put on trial for the murder in Houston. Her attorney, according to The New York Times, said the shooting was an accident. They continued by saying Yolanda’s true intent was to hurt herself.

Due to Selena Quintanilla’s dress sense and several parallels to the other Madonna, she has been dubbed the “Tejano Madonna.” When she was just 13 years old, she joined the band Selena y Los Dinos, which also featured some of her older siblings, and she began writing songs. She contributed to the publication of six albums as a group member before beginning to release solo albums when she turned 18 years old. After all, Selena was already well-liked by the public and served as the group’s spokesperson.
She aimed to establish herself in the global Latin music market with her solo career. She continued to sing in Spanish, but her target audience was the United States as well as the Latino community. Her album Amor Prohibido set a new personal sales record in 1994.

Abraham also observed that Yolanda had stolen more than $60,000 from Selena’s boutiques and fan club. Yolanda still had some documentation for the stores even after being fired.
In order to confront her and gather evidence, Selena scheduled a rendezvous at the Days Inn Motel in Corpus Christi, Texas. According to some sources, Saldvar allegedly organized the meeting by pretending she had been raped and looking for sympathy that Friday morning the Houston Chronicle.
